WINDSOR, Ont. - A provincial investigation looking into surgical errors and quality of pathology results at three hospitals in the Windsor, Ont., area has been completed.

A report by Dr. Barry McLellan, president of Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto, has been handed over to the Ministry of Health.

The report is under review and the results are expected to be released sometime next week.

A spokesperson for the minister's office calls it a “substantial and detailed report.”

The province appointed McLellan to lead the investigation in March after two women had breasts removed when they were mistakenly diagnosed with cancer. (CKLW)
